On the occasion of the Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège races, we decided to highlight Belgium this week. And nothing better that the famous waffle, revisited in a “healthy” way to please yourself with less calories! The waffle, Well-known in the funfair, it is however known to be rich in sugar and butter … But today we offer a recipe for Liege waffles as tasty as healthy, without fat and for only 86kcal!
For approximately 16 waffles, you need:
• 380g white flour
• 250ml skim milk
• 1 baking powder packet
• 1 salt pinch
• 1 natural yogourt 0%
• 1 egg
• 1 teaspoon liquid vanilla flavour
A bowl, an electric mixer (or the strength of your arms), and of course a waffle iron for the cooking process.
Nutritional value:
- 1 waffle = 86 kcal!
- Lipids: 1g
- Carbohydrates: 15g
- Proteins: 4g
Préparation :
1. Put the white flour on a bowl.
2. Crack an egg and mix well.
3. Pour the milk, the salt, the vanilla flavor and the yogourt in the bowl and mix together with the batter until a homogeneous mixture is obtained.
4. Incorporate the baking powder and beating the batter again
5. Warm up the waffle iron. Once hot, pour a tablespoon of batter and let it cook during about 3 minutes.
Succumb immediately! You can add fruits cut in pieces and melted chocolate … but black of course!
