As promised, we’ve been looking back through our archived Cannondale Pro Cycling photos. We’ve chosen the ones we like the most and which best reflect our time spent in #thegreenmachine family.
The boys had been in the studio posing for various photographs for Cannondale all afternoon but were only two happy to pose for a few more for us, styled by Geoffroy and Petra. The eagle-eyed among you will note Ted Maple Syrup King is swigging his favourite beverage while Peter Sagan is plastering his wheels with Nutella and Marco Marcato is using Limoncello to clean his wheels. we never did get those props back!
We know they were much appreciated by staff and riders alike. We are, of course, talking about the G4 t-shirts. Most were designed for specific events such as the Tour Down Under, Giro d’Italia and the Tour de France. Some riders, oh well okay just Peter, merited a t-shirt all of their own. He looks pretty pleased with this doesn’t he?
We even got to ride with the boys though, in truth, they soon left us behind as they disappeared up the road!
Spending so much time with the team made us truly appreciate all the hard work put in by the staff, many of whom had worked together for many years. No wonder that it felt like one big, warm Italian family. Here’s head mechanic Guiseppe Archetti doing what he does best.
We considered we were fortunate to be working with a bunch of guys with a genuine interest in the way they looked. Not that any of them were slaves to fashion but they’d developed their own looks and style such as “the distinguished gentleman” Ivan Basso below, the rock-star geek chic of Moreno Moser and the typical Latin look of Damiano Caruso.
